PHOENIX - Gov. Katie Hobbs signed an executive order to launch Operation Desert Guardian, a new initiative aimed at enhancing border security in Arizona's four border counties.
The operation will involve collaboration with local law enforcement and federal agencies to combat Transnational Criminal Organizations.
"I'm proud to launch Operation Desert Guardian to combat the cartels, stop drug smuggling and human trafficking, and secure Arizona's border," said Gov. Katie Hobbs. She emphasized the importance of cooperation with federal and local partners to achieve these goals.
