China just added 429 GW of new power last year — mostly to feed their AI furnaces. The U.S. flipped policy, embraced nuclear + LNG, and is sprinting. Canada? We're still bragging about "leading in AI" while our data centers beg for scraps and our grid groans. We pioneered SaaS under PIPEDA vs. Patriot Act (I was there, building some of the first platforms in NA), yet today for every dollar spent on Canadian IT, less than 15% stays here. Humility would be nice, but Ottawa's arrogance is surreal.
This isn't abstract. RBC says AI could eat 14% of our electricity by 2030. Whet RBC isn't equipped to comprehend is US' #AI could eat the rest, while we choke innovation with red tape and prop up a CBC that's become the PMO's propaganda arm. Enough.
Time to #UnlockTheBrain and demand real #FortressNorthAmerica energy corridors, sovereign compute hubs, and policies that actually create #JobsOfTheFuture instead of G7 photo-ops. We have the talent, the resources, and the geography — let's stop squandering it for elitist cronyism.
