The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently issued a request for information for federal contracting opportunities to gauge interest from private bounty hunters.
?"DHS ICE has an immediate need for Skip Tracing and Process Serving Services using government furnished case data with identifiable information, commercial data verification, and physical observation services, to verify alien address information, investigate alternative alien address information, confirm the new location of aliens, and deliver materials/documents to aliens as appropriate," the request stated.
Under the plan, ICE would provide skip-tracing companies with information on 10,000 immigration to locate over a 12-month period.
Further assignments in increments of 10,000, with a maximum of 1,000,000, would be offered.
Skip tracers would be paid to find illegal immigrants and issue them with documents.
As The Epoch Times reports, ?"Such companies would verify address information for non-citizens provided by the government, research additional possible addresses for these individuals, confirm their current residence locations, and deliver required documents to them as needed.
?"Bounty hunters would provide ICE with documented home and work addresses, phone numbers, vehicle information, and social media information."
There would be bonuses offered on the basis of performance, volume and quality of information provided by companies.
ICE recently signed a $1.9 million contract with Carahsoft Technology Corp. for AI social-media surveillance to locate illegals.
The system is already in use with the US and Israeli militaries.
Individual states have already attempted to introduce bounty-hunter programs to locate illegals.
Missouri, Mississippi and Arizona have all tried to implement such programs, but the bills behind them failed to make it into law.
