The VE Network is not a Wi-fi network!! Some people below are thinking that you need internet to run this or set it up. Absolutely false. It is the bluetooth network system for victron energy components. Not a wifi network! You can use this network system off-grid and without internet. If it did require internet, no one would buy it.

And swapping out the bms would be the more expensive and horribly difficult. You are better off building your own battery. Watch the tear down video to see how difficult this case is to open. That would be an awful idea lol

And no you do not need the battery smart sense mounted to the cells. Mount it to the outside of the battery case. If you needed to tear the pack apart, I would never make this video. That would be a horrible idea.
