Katherine Maher, former CEO of Wikimedia says that she abandoned a "free and open" internet as the mission of Wikipedia, because those principles recapitulated a "white male Westernized construct" and "did not end up living into the intentionality of what openness can be."

To translate, if knowledge is power, for a more equitable world we need less knowledge, to have a disempowered people.

According to her, "White male Westernized construct" is particularly dangerous. ????????

So if you see where this is going; the internet as a source of information under this kind of idealogy will become more restricted, less reliable and experienced voices need to be put in their place and exiled, especially a certain demographic!
