PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A quiet and dry day is on tap for Arizona on Monday, but big weather changes are on the way.
In the Valley, look for morning temperatures mainly in the 40s to warm to the low 70s this afternoon. That's slightly above average for this time of year in Phoenix, when temperatures normally top out in the mid 60s. Partly sunny skies this morning should clear for a sunny afternoon with light winds.
Stronger winds, cooler temperatures and chances for rain and snow arrive Tuesday with a storm system currently moving in from the Pacific Northwest. The low is set to cut off from the jet stream and sink south, positioning itself over Southwestern Arizona by Tuesday night.
The cold front associated with this low pressure system will bring strong winds starting Tuesday and continuing through Wednesday morning.
