President Trump on Tuesday trolled Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the 78th annual Thanksgiving Turkey Pardoning Ceremony, saying he would never pardon either of them.
As he pardoned the two lucky birds, Gobble and Waddle, the President joked that Waddle was "missing in action" and that Gobble "looks like a rather violent bird."
When he pardoned the bird, it let out a loud gobble right at the perfect time.
In historic tradition, Presidents are known to make cheesy jokes and puns.
And President Trump, in classic fashion, obliterated his political enemies. He further touted the successes of his administration on trade, the border, and crime.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump roasted Joe Biden, telling the crowd that Biden's pardons for two turkeys last year are "null and void" because he used an autopen, a nod to Biden's illegitimate executive actions that he probably didn't even authorize.
"But they're hereby null and void. The turkeys known as Peach and Blossom last year have been located, and they were on their way to be processed. In other words, to be killed!" Trump said.
"But I have stopped that journey, and I am officially pardoning them. And they will not be served for Thanksgiving dinner. We saved them in the nick of time."
Next up was Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. The President joked that he "was going to call them Chuck and Nancy. But then I realized I wouldn't be pardoning them."
Trump continued, "I would never pardon those two people. I wouldn't pardon them. I wouldn't care what Melania told me, 'Darling, I think it would be a nice thing to do,' I won't do it, darling!"
