This was sent to us from a friend - thought we would share the dome architecture village in Hormuz Straight...
So in just goofing around on Google Maps, looking at islands in the Hormuz Straight, trying to figure out the most likely target beaches the US Marines might use to seize the area, I spotted an odd rainbow of circles on a beach. Zooming in, it was obvious I was looking at concrete or earthen domes of some sort. Immediately intrigued, I looked further and discovered this is some sort of resort hotel called the MAJARA Hotel. Entering it into Google to learn more, not only did I find at least one video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APhrAk5feCU but also learned these were built in the "superadobe" style, using earth-filled sandbags. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majara_Residence I of course couldn't help but immediately think of y'all and your project.
