As The Gateway Pundit's Cassandra Macdonald reported, Parton has passed away at age 80.
Her passing was announced on her Instagram account in a video by her nephew, Brian Seaver, on behalf of the Parton family.
"My name is Brian Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and I'm representing the Parton and Owens family today, announcing the passing of my aunt, Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, Sister, Sis, and Granny to one generation and Gigi to the next," Seaver said.
A cause of death was not released, but it is known that Parton had been struggling with health issues, including kidney stones and related infections.
These came right after the death of her husband Carl Thomas Dean, who passed away in March 2025 at age 82.
Sadly, her death may be related to these previous issues.
TMZ has revealed that Parton was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville early Friday morning due to kidney and autoimmune issues.
This was four days before her death.
The outlet also revealed that Parton died in the hospital on Tuesday morning.
Her death also came as a "sudden and unexpected shock" to family members.
Making the news even sadder, Parton acknowledged a recent decline in her health in the interview with PEOPLE the SAME DAY she was hospitalized.
"I am dealing with some health issues that I just didn't pay attention to when I was watching over Carl," she said on Friday.
Now, Parton is together again with Carl, this time for eternity.
