But when something happens and it raises questions they'd prefer not to talk about, things get weirdly quiet pretty quickly.

We've watched that unfold around the transgender movement for years, especially after far too many horrific acts of violence have been linked to trans villains or people connected to that bizarre world.

The media suddenly loses all interest in being "curious" or actually doing their job of investigating stories and seeing what's really going on. Instead, they bury their head and pretend it's not happening.

One quick clarification here: the post's casualty number isn't correct. Two children were murdered in the trans attack, and at least 21 other people were wounded.

But the larger question it raises is precisely the one the Trump administration's new research is examining.

We don't need to tell you that this isn't journalism. It's political activism.

That's what makes this new development from Team Trump so interesting and also hopeful.

Researchers funded by the admin have now taken a deep dive into a question that's been on the minds of countless Americans: is gender ideology connected to political violence?

And according to the findings, yes, there is very much a connection, and it's worth talking about.

The study was conducted by researchers connected to Rutgers University, the Manhattan Institute, and the Network Contagion Research Institute, with support from the Trump administration.

More than 1,200 American adults were surveyed, and they asked them how strongly they agreed with gender ideology, then looked at whether those same people were also more likely to support left-wing authoritarian ideas or justify political violence.

The results are not shocking. It's what you already figured out eons ago.

Trump administration-funded researchers and independent collaborators found a startling correlation between proponents of a transgender ideology and left-wing violence, according to a new report obtained by The Post and set to be released Wednesday.

The new study from researchers at Rutgers University, the right-leaning Manhattan Institute and Network Contagion Research Institute found that those normalizing transgender beliefs were more likely to be supportive of political violence.

Respondents were quizzed about six potential targets of political violence for the study: "killing Charlie Kirk, killing Donald Trump, killing Brian Thompson, arson of ICE buildings, damaging wealthy people's property, and violence against police."

"These findings suggest that gender ideology is associated with LWA [left-wing authoritarianism] and willingness to justify political violence," stated the study, which titled "Where the Clinic Meets the Movement: Does Gender Ideology Arm Left-Wing Authoritarian Psychology?"
