The FBI has officially closed its long-running investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's sordid network—declaring that no charges will be brought against Prince Andrew, effectively clearing him for international travel after years of alleged self?imposed exile.
Dubbed "Air Miles Andy" for his taxpayer-funded shopping trips abroad during his tenure as UK trade envoy, Andrew dramatically halted international travel six years ago amid fears he could face arrest in the U.S.
His only known post?scandal trip came in 2022, flying to Bahrain in private — all while rumours mounted that he was using his connections to profit via his defunct Pitch@Palace enterprise, according to The Sun.
According to a leaked memo, federal agents will not be bringing any charges against Andrew, despite his long history of ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The Duke of York, now 65, had essentially confined himself to the UK for over half a decade, reportedly fearing international arrest or legal action if he traveled.
The Sun reported:
PRINCE Andrew can end his self-imposed travel ban and return to being "Air Miles Andy" after a leaked memo revealed the FBI is closing its investigation into his Jeffrey Epstein links.
The terrified Duke, 65, has hunkered down at Royal Lodge in Windsor for six years fearing arrest if he left the UK.
A friend said: "He has been abroad once since the scandal erupted.
But without the FBI investigation hanging over his head he will feel it's safe to travel.
"He has always been very nervous about going abroad and felt he'd always be looking over his shoulder as he could be subject to civil action or at worst, being arrested.
"Hopefully with this out of the way it means he can at least leave the country.
"What's he supposed to do with the rest of his life? He hasn't been convicted of any crime and can't sit around doing nothing at Royal Lodge forever."
In May, the O'Keefe Media Group released an explosive undercover video of John Bryan, a royal family advisor, exposing Prince Andrew's sexual relations with minors and ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
