President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he plans to join local law enforcement and military personnel on patrol in the nation's capital this evening, as part of his administration's ongoing efforts to address rising crime rates in the city.
The revelation came during an interview with conservative radio host Todd Starnes, where Trump stated, "I'm going to be going out tonight, I think, with the police and with the military, of course. So we're going to do a job."
Trump added, "The National Guard is great. They've done a fantastic job."
