Recent developments in the Middle East have led to a significant disruption in oil supply, with Iran striking key oil infrastructure. The East West pipeline in Saudi Arabia, crucial for rerouting oil around the Strait of Hormuz, has been hit, causing an estimated loss of 700,000 barrels per day of capacity. This strike, confirmed by Mr. Global of the American Power podcast, is part of a broader escalation. Iran has also begun targeting oil production facilities across the Middle East, with at least 600,000 barrels a day of production capacity lost in Saudi Arabia alone.
