Not to be confused with the Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils, which used to be held in the same place during the same week, the inaugural AMGFL describes itself as "the premier next-generation leadership platform" bringing together "emerging pioneers under 40 alongside established global leaders, innovators, scientists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and cultural voices."
This year's meeting will debut two specific formats: Unknown Tomorrows, which deals with simulating possible futures, and Opportunity Labs, which are collaborative working sessions.
At the time of this publication, there are only nine sessions scheduled for public viewing between October 14 and 15.

One session of particular interest to The Sociable is a talk by Cartesian Systems co-founder and MIT Signal Kinetics Research Lab founding director Dr. Fadel Adib called "Sensing the Invisible," which is about wireless sensing and how it can read "biological signals beneath our skin and information moving through the ocean."
Apart from being a WEF Young Global Leader, Dr. Adib is one of the first researchers to develop technology to sense, detect, and track people and objects through walls using radio and WiFi signals.
Dr. Adib's past research includes:
Seeing through walls with WiFi: including 3D tracking, gesture recognition, and reconstructing human figures through walls.
Smart homes that measure vital signs including breathing, heartbeats, micro-cardiac events, emotions, and stress levels.
Batteryless micro-implants for in-body connectivity, sensing, self-reconfiguring with security/privacy.
RFID and RFID-vision fusion: localization, tracking, food/liquid sensing, drone-based inventory, reinforcement learning, robotic picking, and augmented reality.
