Interventionist Blinken Equivocates on Russia's Sought Security Guarantees
by Stephen Lendman
Ahead of his meeting with Sergey Lavrov in Geneva on Friday, interventionist Blinken defied reality as follows, saying:
Hegemon USA has "shown goodwill not just in recent weeks but over many years, consistently reaching out to Russia, wanting to work with Russia (sic)," adding:
"(F)or many years, NATO has reached out to Russia to develop a transparent and more positive relationship (sic)."
"Unfortunately, we've been consistently rebuffed (sic)."
"(I)n recent years, it's not (US-dominated) NATO that is the problem (sic)."
"It's a defensive alliance (sic)"
"Russia attacked Ukraine (sic)."
"Russia attacked Georgia (sic)."
"Russia has forces in Moldova against the will of its people (sic)."
"Russia seized Crimea (sic)."
"Russia went into Eastern Ukraine in 2014 (sic)."
"Russia pose(s) a challenge to European security (sic)."
The above perversions of reality reflect a nation off the rails.
It shows the futility of Russian diplomatic outreach.
It's proof positive of no change in US war on Russia by other means.
It shows the high risk of things turning hot by accident or intent by dominant US hardliners.
When meeting with Sergey Lavrov on Friday in Geneva, Blinken will not present a written response to Russia's security demands because he and other Biden regime hardliners reject them.
At the same time, he repeated the Big Lie claim about (nonexistent) Russian forces mobilized along Ukraine's border with intent to invade on command, adding:
"We know (sic) that there are plans in place to increase that force even more on very short notice (sic)."
We know (sic) "that gives President Putin the capacity, also on very short notice, to take further aggressive action against Ukraine (sic)."
Fact: Blinken, likeminded Biden regime hardliners and their Western counterparts know that the Russian Federation never attacked another country.
Fact: They know that no Russian plan or intension exists to invade or otherwise attack Ukraine — or any other nations.
Fact: What they know and say publicly are worlds apart.
Fact: Lunatics in charge of the Washington asylum and their Western counterparts are pushing things for unthinkable war on nonbelligerent, nonthreatening Russia.
When Lavrov meets with Blinken in Geneva, nothing positive will be achieved.
Talks again will be a colossal waste of time by Russia with the ruling regime of a hostile nation that's hell bent for its destruction.
There's virtually no chance that hegemon USA and its subservient NATO partners will comply with Russia's sought security guarantees.
Chances for US-orchestrated direct — or more likely — proxy war on Russia are ominously high.
According to WaPo on Thursday, so-called Putin Accountability Act legislation was introduced and signed onto by over 150 Russophobic House members.
Among other provisions, it calls for "prohibit(ing) US persons from purchasing, selling, or otherwise dealing in Russian sovereign debt that is issued or executed on or after the date that is 60 days after such date of enactment."
"Not later than 10 days after the date of the enactment of this act, the (fake Biden) shall impose sanctions under subsection (b)(1) with respect to (1) any entity responsible for planning, construction, maintenance, technical assistance, engineering assistance, financing or operation of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline or a successor entity."
The measure redefines preeminent peace and stability proponent Russia "as a state sponsor of terrorism and designat(es) Russian-supported armed forces (sic) in Donbass…as foreign terrorist organizations (sic)."
Whether enacted into law or not, the measure — along with earlier anti-Russia legislation and hostile US actions — show that there's no chance for improved bilateral relations.
There's every chance for further hardening them by bipartisan lunatics in charge of the Washington asylum and their subservient Western counterparts.
The risk of unthinkable direct or US proxy war on Russia is ominously high.
Make no mistake. Hegemon USA poses an unparalleled threat to world peace and everyone everywhere.
If global war 3.0 erupts, it'll be the Biden regime's doing.
At a time when cool heads in Washington are way outnumbered by raging hawks, the worst of all possible outcomes is ominously possible.
