Footage going viral on social media captured the moment two men dressed as females disrupted a women's basketball game declaring themselves eligible for the 2027 WNBA draft, as the league faces controversy for refusing to define the word "woman."
The incident unfolded during Saturday's match-up between the Las Vegas Aces and the Minnesota Lynx, with the men wearing wigs and dresses filmed leaving the game, as a bewildered security guard watched on.

"They declare for the WNBA ," read a caption on the post.
The incident comes as controversy erupted following remarks by Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham condemning men playing in women's sports, which prompted many to point out the WNBA's 2026 collective bargaining agreement failed to define "women."
At a recent "anti-hate task force" meeting last week, WNBA officials again declined to define the term.
The league's refusal to establish parameters has prompted at least two biologically male former NBA players, Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White, to come forward declaring themselves eligible for the next WNBA draft.
In somewhat related news, radio host Clay Travis has challenged the Aces, who won the 2025 championship, to play against a boys' high school state championship basketball team of his choosing, offering $10 million to the winner.
