Saudi Arabia's first automaker just revealed what it's been working on since it was founded in 2022. Ceer, the car startup created by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and Taiwanese contract-manufacturing giant Foxconn, will hit the EV market with two vehicles from the same "Exobot" platform, a sedan and an SUV. 

Spy shots hinted at it and the official photos from Monday's reveal confirm: These extreme-looking EVs make the Cybertruck look about as tame as a Honda Civic. The Saudis are swinging for the fences with Ceer, which is a key pillar of the Kingdom's strategy to diversify its business away from fossil fuels.

The automaker plans to launch five more models over the next five years, making for a seven-car portfolio that spans propulsion types. But it starts with these otherworldly Exobot siblings, which were designed by Rob Melville, McLaren's former design director. 

While the two cars have drastically different body styles, they have the same basic DNA. Both feature super-low noses and get taller at the back, lending them look that evokes the wedge-shaped cars of the 1970s.
