In the preparedness world we talk a lot about gear and the resources that give us the optimal chance for survival in the long term.  However, what if we had nothing?  Or next to nothing in terms of supplies and tools?  What is the bare minimum we would need to stay alive and accumulate enough resources to survive during a large scale crisis?

There are many scenarios in which large groups of people could be displaced by a disaster and there's no guarantees they will be able to bring their supplies with them.  It's always a good idea to consider this kind of situation and ask "What would I do, and what handful of kit would I bring with me?"
