The BRICS countries may launch a single payment system in 2026. This was reported on January 26 by the Berliner Zeitung (BZ) newspaper, citing sources.
"We are talking about the Brics Pay System. The goal is to create a cross—border digital payment architecture that will allow direct payments in national currencies," the materials say.
