Homeland Security Investigations entered the Somali-born congresswoman's home in Washington DC on Monday amid a probe into immigration papers filled out on her behalf by her father when she was a child.
Omar wrote on X: 'I'm ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement.
'For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.'
A Justice Department spokesman said: 'Today in the Washington, DC area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice.
'This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal investigation.'
The raid, first reported by Fox News, is a major escalation of a case border czar Tom Homan first revealed in mid-September.
Pressed on whether Omar was under investigation, Homan refused to discuss specifics, but warned: 'No one's above the law.' He also declined to rule out stripping her of her American citizenship.
Days earlier, Mullin said the probe reached beyond her disputed 2009 marriage and warned that removal actions could follow if wrongdoing is proven. Omar has long faced claims that she married her own brother to get him into the country.
Omar has flatly denied marrying her brother, branding the allegations 'absurd and offensive.'
The Daily Mail has contacted Omar's office for comment regarding the raid.
Minnesota has become ground zero for Trump's immigration crackdown, home to the largest Somali community in the country.
The state is also at the center of a sprawling Medicaid fraud scandal that federal prosecutors warn could reach $9 billion, and the administration has seized on it, dispatching a strike force of prosecutors
Federal immigration agents shot dead two US citizens, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, within about two weeks of each other in Minneasota in January, sparking a massive backlash that reached into Republican ranks.
The killings still hang over the White House as Republicans scramble to hold on to Congress with the midterms less than a month away.
Monday's raid is red meat for Trump's base, and it drags the immigration fight straight back into the spotlight at the eleventh hour.
